The Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership’s new CEO James Grunke has only been on the ground here in Erie for a few months, but in that time has spoken to 300 business leaders and has encountered a willingness for local leaders to make changes to promote growth.
Grunke said, “there’s just such an appetite to do something different and to move forward. And I view economic development as a collaboration between the public sector, most-importantly the private sector, and education. So if you drew that as a simple Venn diagram, where those three intersect, that’s where economic development occurs.”
Grunke told Joel Natalie on TalkErie.com Monday that the Chamber has been asked to create a new economic development and job creation system for the Erie region.
