More than 200 pro-life activists braved air temperatures in the teens Saturday in the annual Erie March for Life, peacefully protesting the unborn lives lost to abortion. People from every age group took part, including a noticeable group of college students.
People for Life representative Marielle Lafaro explained the march’s theme, “Choose Hope.” “When you see the legislation coming through, and people making some dark decisions, our message to them today and this is year is to resist that darkness and resist that despair and choose hope,” Lafaro said.
After the March looped around the center city, the event concluded with public prayer and guest speakers addressing the crowd.
