This evening, local officials from the city of Corry and Erie County will kick off the Blue Zones Project, in an effort to transform the community’s health and well-being, lower costs, and boost the economic vitality of Corry. A National Geographic study identified the commonalities across the Blue Zones areas that have led to their longevity and vitality.

Corry will be the 47th Community, who have started on a journey to become a Blue Zones Community in the U-S. This transformation is a multi-year, multi-disciplinary effort that involves the entire community – schools, restaurants, grocery stores, government, businesses, faith-based organizations, and individuals.

Tonight a Blue Zones Project Keynote will be presented, with a day of project presentations and focus groups slated for Tuesday.
