Erie, Pa: The Pennsylvania State 8-Ball Tournament will host its 37th annual event at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, Pa. March 8-10, 2019. The tournament, hosted annually by Warner Coin Machine, is the fourth largest 8-ball tournament in the country. More than 200 tables will be set up for competition, as 2,000 players will travel from across the state and beyond for the event.
Players must have competed in a VNEA-sanctioned league in order to participate in the tournament. Entries are currently being accepted at Warner Coin Machine.
The tournament will begin Friday, March 8 at 3 p.m. with the singles competition. Team competition will begin Saturday, March 9 at 9 a.m. and continue Sunday, March 10, also beginning at 9 a.m.
The event will feature pool entertainer Tom Rossman, also known as “Dr. Cue”. Rossman has appeared in more than 5,000 shows, teaching clinics and special event appearances since 1974.
Tickets for spectators are available at the door for $5 per day or $10 for a three-day pass.
“The growth that this tournament has seen in 37 years is tremendous, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the thousands of players who choose to join us every year,” said Rod Didion, the tournament coordinator from Warner Coin Machine. “We have focused each year on making improvements to allow competitors to fully enjoy and immerse themselves in the experience.”
