Erie, PA: VisitErie is teaming up with Team Hardinger, a locally-based logistics company, to promote Erie from city to city. Large VisitErie ads have been installed on ten Team Hardinger trailer backs, approximately 8’ x 9’. The featured images on the ads include Presque Isle Beaches, Erie Sunsets, and the Brig Niagara.

Placing the graphics on the trailers gives VisitErie the ability to advertise 8 to 10 hours a day, five days a week in its top markets. According to H. Bender, President of Hardinger Transportation, VisitErie worked closely with them to determine the best routes to reach potential visitors in Erie’s top tourism markets. The use of these trailers will be focused on the Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York regions, but will also be used on routes stretching west as far as Illinois and south into the Carolinas.

The industry average views for a tail light ad in a top U.S. media market is approximately 32,000 views based on USDOT historic national traffic count averages for 8 hours of drive time. According to John Oliver, CEO of VisitErie, we view trailers as giant, rolling billboards for Erie. They offer a cost-effective mobile solution that reaches a maximum number of potential visitors daily.

The graphics were produced and installed by Jason Mumford of Freedom Signs in Edinboro. Engel O’Neill worked with VisitErie to develop the creative for the ads.
