Our region is a hugely popular destination for fishing, and so Wednesday, we learned about the collaborative efforts among leading sportsmen, researchers, and conservation experts toward advancing the health and quality of our fisheries. This special program included the introduction of a collaboration between FishUSA and AFTCO in support of the Great Lakes Acoustic Telemetry Observation System (GLATOS), GLATOS is a network of researchers on both the American and Canadian borders of the Great Lakes who study how different fish species behave in these expansive bodies of water.

Our guests included Justin DiRado, social media and community outreach manager for FishUSA, local fisherman and fishing boat captain, Pete Alex; Jerry Skrypczak from SONS of Lake Erie; Jeff Parnell, President and CEO of FishUSA; and TalkErie’s very own fishing consultant, FishUSA’s Brandon Ryan.
