In response to a request for a statement from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, the agency that licenses day care facilities, a spokesperson told TalkErie.com News in an email:
“We are mourning this tragic loss of life. The incident is under active investigation by the department. We are not able to discuss further at this point.”
