“I am so pleased to be able to partner with U.S. Senator Toomey and Representative Wentling for this long overdue recognition of those who served in the armed forces during the period of the ‘cold war,’” said Senator Laughlin.  “These Veteran’s faithfully and honorably served our country. They were prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice in the name of the United States. Their vigilance protected the American Dream.”

“The Cold War was a prolonged and very trying time in our nation’s history,” said Representative Wentling. “The men and women who served during this time played a vital role in preventing the spread of communism and preserving our nation’s freedoms. Without question, all of these veterans are equally deserving of our thanks and appreciation.”
