Things are coming together for the final phase of Warner Theater renovations. Thanks to donations and a $6 million loan by the Convention Center Authority, groundbreaking will commence in the Spring. Casey Wells, the Executive Director of Erie Events, told TalkErie.com that repairing the Warner’s marquee presents a unique challenge.

“What will happen is that marquee will be physically removed from the State Street facade of the Warner, placed on a flat-bed truck, and taken to a sign factory where they will carefully replicate every element of that marquee,” Wells said.

The Theater will be closed during the construction process from April of this year to October 2021.
