It’s the sixth year for the annual, Healing Hearts project, sponsored by our sister station, 106.3 WCTL. Individuals, youth groups, Sunday School classes and other caring groups, have created homemade Valentines, for patients and residents across the region. Today, over 5,000 greetings were delivered to more than thirty personal care facilities and nursing homes, according to WCTL Program Director Lori Clapper.

“It gets the whole community involved, and no matter how young or old you are, you can make a Valentine. It’s a very feasible way to reach out to the community. And, of course, the outcome: senior citizens especially in our area get very lonely this time of the year. We love to spread God’s love today to those who need it the most,” Clapper said.
