This morning at his weekly press conference, Erie Mayor Joe Schember gave an update on the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance or LERTA applications, which are impacting construction and renovations happening in the city.

“It’s been 32 weeks since the new LERTA was enacted, that was on July 3, 2019. We’ve now had 102 LERTA applications, with a total investment in Erie of $28,616,918,” Schember said.

Schember’s goal is $50 million in LERTA investment, by the program’s one-year anniversary.
