In a letter to the faithful, Roman Catholic Bishop Lawrence Persico has decided to suspend all public Masses in the Diocese of Erie effective Wednesday. The letter says that “ given the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is an important decision made for the good of the community.” Priests will continue to celebrate Mass, praying for their parishioners, even if alone.
