Erie, PA – County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announced the third positive case of COVID-19 in Erie County today.
The individual is in their early 20s. Other details regarding location or other personal information regarding the individual will not be released to the public. Contact tracing is currently being conducted by Erie County Department of Health.
“Even though this is our third positive case in Erie County, the numbers are still low,” Dahlkemper said. “The only way to keep the numbers from growing exponentially is for everyone to follow the recommendations to social distance themselves and practice personal hygiene. Again, please stay home, please stay safe, and please stay calm.”
As a reminder, enforcement of Governor Tom Wolf’s order to close all non-life-sustaining businesses will go into effect Monday, March 23, at 8 a.m.
