Erie, PA – County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper today announced that three new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Erie County, taking the total to eight.

Two of the new cases are in their 60s, one is in their 40s. Two of the new cases have traveled; one is pending additional investigation of potential exposure. Contact tracing by Erie County Department of Health continues.

Dahlkemper also announced a new Erie County COVID-19 Contact Information document that is available on eriecountypa.gov. This new resource provides clarification on who to contact for each need.

For businesses struggling with operation budgets and more, help is available. Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership at eriepa.com is the lead on economic development across Erie County and is the place to go for business resources in the Northwest region.

“I am grateful for all the work that the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership, Erie County Redevelopment Authority, Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority and our other economic development partners are doing for the businesses in our community,” Dahlkemper said. “Businesses should apply for assistance as soon as possible. They do not need to be a member of the Chamber to access these resources.”

In addition, volunteer-dependent organizations in Erie County are seeking volunteers in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. United Way has partnered with Erie County government and ServErie to connect interested individuals with available volunteer opportunities through the PA 211 Helpline at PA211NW.org.
