Erie, PA – County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper today announced that two new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Erie County since yesterday, taking the total to 15.
All are in self-isolation at their homes. One is in their 50s, and one is in their 60s. Both cases are connected to a known positive and/or travel. Contact tracing by Erie County Department of Health continues.
“Thank you for doing your part to help us stay ahead of the spread,” Dahlkemper said. “I wish I could give you an estimate of when this situation will be over. This is a very difficult time for everyone. Families are separated. Businesses are temporarily closed. People are restless. But I make my plea: Please keep up the good work. Stay at home and practice self-distancing and good personal hygiene. Make the sacrifice now, so we can soon get back to some sense of normalcy.”
