County Executive announces three new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Erie County for total of 32

County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper today announced three new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Erie County, and a total of 755 negatives. The total positive cases of COVID-19 in Erie County to date is 32. 

Two individuals are in their 70s; one is in their 80s. Overall contact tracing by Erie County Department of Health continues on all open cases. Two different cases of two residents who have been reported positive. 

The state of Pennsylvania has seen 1,680 new cases and 70 more deaths in the past 24 hours. 

The environmental task force team at Erie County Department of Health has received a total of 731 complaints to date and has made 145 field inspections; 132 of these were found to be in compliance. The task force team continues to work with life-sustaining businesses to help them come into compliance.

Dahlkemper also reminded everyone to complete the 2020 Census at my2020census.gov. Currently, Erie County is at 52%, and the City of Erie is at 44%. As a whole, Erie County is above the nation’s response rate of 46%.
