County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announced no new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Erie County. The total positive cases of COVID-19 in Erie County to date remains at 40, with no deaths of Erie County residents.

Seventeen of those 40 cases have recovered so far, and contact tracing continues by Erie County Department of Health.

The cumulative cases by zone on the confirmed positive COVID-19 cases across Erie County can be found on the new map (updated Monday through Friday).

The environmental task force team at Erie County Department of Health continues to make field inspections. The task force is instrumental in helping to keep our case numbers low by helping life-sustaining businesses to come into compliance and keep everyone safe.

“We are not aware of any bottlenecks or testing backlogs,” Dahlkemper said. “Testing is being done on a daily basis through the hospital testing sites. It takes between one and five days to get test results back. Symptoms may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 days after exposure.”

Today a campaign called #WeGotThisErie launched across Erie County to unite residents with helpful, uplifting content. The City of Erie, Erie Downtown Partnership, the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership, VisitErie/Erie Sports Commission, Erie Arts & Culture, the CelebrateErie Committee, R. Frank Media, Gibbens Creative and Erie County government collaborated to produce this campaign and an inspirational video that you will find on the social media platforms of all of these partners. The public is encouraged to use the #WeGotThisErie hashtag to share their inspiring stories.

The Rumor Hotline that was established March 26 will be shut down, effective Tuesday, April 14, at 5 p.m. The health department reviewed the data and content and found it to be a redundancy because the majority of the calls were being redirected to the health department.
