Erie County reports three new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 for a total of 56

County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announced three new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Erie County. The total confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Erie County to date is 56, with 1,271 negatives and no deaths of Erie County residents. Twenty-nine of the 56 total cases have recovered.

One of the new cases is in their early teens, one is in their 40s, and one is in their 60s. One of the new cases is connected to a known positive; the others are still under investigation by Erie County Department of Health.

“Let’s continue to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Erie County,” Dahlkemper said. “Continue to physically distance yourself from anyone who does not live in your home. Continue to wash your hands regularly, and sanitize and disinfect surfaces, and continue to wear a mask.”

Residents are reminded to call 911 only for an emergency such as having difficulty breathing; an allergic reaction; symptoms of a heart attack; feeling dizzy or disoriented; having difficulty speaking, walking and seeing; or if having sudden, severe pain.
