County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper today announced 25 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Erie County since Friday. The total positive cases of COVID-19 in Erie County to date is 216, with 4,068 negatives and 127 recovered, meaning there are 85 active cases.

The daily case count over the weekend was 16 on Saturday, two on Sunday and seven on Monday. Current data can be found on the chart and cumulative cases map by zone (refresh page) on the “Positive Cases in Erie County” page at eriecountypa.gov

“At this point, it appears that our cases are not clusters related to any business so far,” said Dahlkemper. “Our cases, generally speaking, are related to people gathering and not wearing masks or social distancing. Remember that prolonged exposure to people who do not live inside your home increases your chances of getting sick. We have not gone into the green phase yet because contrary to what’s happening in other counties across the state, our numbers continue to go up, not down. Our numbers need to level off or decrease before we can go to green.”
