Superintendent Brian Polito tells TalkErie.com that the district devoted the majority of $6.7 million in CARES funding, to buying Chromebooks and internet access for students, meaning they will have a machine for every student in the district.

“Not only is it going to be a benefit for next year with the restrictions we have, but long term it’s going to totally reform what we can do in the classroom, and provide us with many more opportunities to enhance education,” Polito said.

Planning continues, as district officials develop a strategy for transportation and mostly in-person classroom learning, beginning this fall.
