At his weekly news conference Thursday, Erie Mayor Joe Schember announced the new City of Erie Department of Planning and Neighborhood Resources. This new Planning Department will be under the leadership of Kathy Wyrosdick and includes: Code Enforcement, Zoning, City Arborist and Sustainability Coordinator, and Neighborhood Planner and GIS.
City consultants advocate having a robust city planning office.
Wyrosdick became the city’s first ever Planning Director when Schember took office in 2018.
