Social gatherings are still the culprit in clusters of COVID-19 outbreaks according to Melissa Lyon the Erie County Health Director. During yesterday’s press conference, Lyon emphasized mitigation efforts during parties and other social gatherings.
“I’m not going to give you any magic bullet on how to prevent the spread”, said Lyon “its the same thing, wearing the mask, staying as socially distant as you can, and good hygiene.”
The county has now surpassed 1,200 cases of COVID-19
