United Way of Erie Announces 2020 Tocqueville Award Recipient

United Way of Erie has announced that this year’s recipient of the Tocqueville Award is Robin Scheppner.

The award recognizes outstanding volunteer service and commitment throughout the community.

Scheppner is the President and Managing Owner of American Tinning & Galvanizing (ATG) and is native to Erie. Through her leadership ATG was able to refocus their commitment to community by focusing their philanthropy efforts to benefit low income women and children.

Scheppner is a member of the Erie Women’s Fund, a donor advised women’s philanthropy fund and recently served as their Chair for three years.  She is a member of Rotary and several committees with United Way, currently the Community Impact Committee and is also a past United Way Board member.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic Scheppner will be presented with the award during the organization’s Leadership Recognition Reception in 2021.
