Most consumers make the mistake of not having a multifactor identification for their digital accounts. Dr. Christopher Montsour, leading cybersecurity expert at Mercyhurst University tells us that you can better protect your devices through the use of multi factor identification.

“Multifactor identification, that second factor could be an SMS that gets texted to your mobile device or a security token that’s generated with a software application that turns on your machine.” Montsour said according to an interview with the Joel Natalie Show.

Montsour also suggests using a virtual private network, or VPN, to protect your device not only at home but in public as well.
