Second round of Erie County CARES Applications Opens October 21

County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper, County Council Chairman André R. Horton and County Councilwoman Kim Clear announce a second round of Erie County CARES applications will open Wednesday, October 21, at 8 a.m., at eriecountypa.gov.

The Erie County CARES programs that are open to a second round include:

  • Municipal Reimbursement Program – applications open Oct. 21 – Nov. 16, 2020
  • Nonprofit Assistance Grant Program – applications open Oct. 21 – Nov. 4, 2020
  • PPE for Small Businesses – applications open Oct. 21 – Nov. 16, 2020


Full details about all of the programs created through the COVID-19 County Relief Block Grant can be found at eriecountypa.gov/covid-19/erie-county-cares-2020.

By the end of October, a dashboard will also be accessible on eriecountypa.gov. The dashboard is an ArcGIS Hub, which will graphically present how the Erie County CARES dollars are being used in real time.

Erie County was one of 60 counties in Pennsylvania eligible to apply to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s COVID-19 County Relief Block Grant Program.

The County received $24,358,828 on July 15, 2020.
