Erie City Council voted in favor of the Bayfront Parkway Project at last night’s meeting, despite eleven citizens speaking out against it without an Environment Assessment. Local activist Adam Trott of the Connect Urban Erie group, told TalkErie.com News that there are problems with the plan that need to be addressed.

“We’re not trying to trying to stop the project, we’re trying to inform the project, so the result is good for Erie,” Trott said.

A People’s Petition was presented to council members before last night’s meeting. The petition included a variety of environmental and social justice issues that they feel have plagued the Erie community and will continue through the construction of the Parkway Project.
