County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper and Erie County Department of Health announce 33 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Erie County as of 11:59 p.m. on November 3.
The total cumulative cases of COVID-19 in Erie County since March is 2,385, with 414 active cases, 1,917 recovered cases, 35,274 negatives and 54 deaths reported in NEDSS.
Updated data can be found on the chart on the “Positive Cases in Erie County” page on eriecountypa.gov. Of the cumulative cases, 55% are female and 45% are male.
The breakdown of cumulative cases by race/ethnicity is as follows:
• 65% White residents
• 15% African American/Black residents
• 8% Asian residents
• 2% Other
• 10% Unknown
Five percent of the cases are Hispanic, of any race; 80% are not Hispanic; and 15% are unknown.
The age breakdown of the cumulative cases looks like this:
• 3% are ages 0-4
• 2% are ages 5-9
• 8% are ages 10-18
• 16% are ages 19-24
• 37% are ages 25-49
• 19% are ages 50-64
• 15% are ages 65 and older

Melissa Lyon, director of the Erie County Department of Health, joined the County Executive today to provide an update on significant community spread and the importance of following the guidelines; masking, social distancing and avoiding gatherings especially going into the holiday season.
