Two days after the election and the picture is getting clearer for some candidates in Erie County. In the PA 16th Congressional District, Rep. Mike Kelly won his sixth consecutive term for Congress, winning over his competitor Kristy Gnibus. In the race for State Senate District 49, Sen. Dan Laughlin has a large lead over Julie Slomski.

For PA House of Representatives the leaders as of this morning are as follows:

  • Representative in the General Assembly 1st Legislative District: Patrick Harkins
  • Representative in the General Assembly 2nd Legislative District: Bob Merski
  • Representative in the General Assembly 3rd Legislative District: Ryan Bizzarro
  • Representative in the General Assembly 4th Legislative District: Curt Sonney
  • Representative in the General Assembly 6th Legislative District: Brad Roae
  • Representative in the General Assembly 17th Legislative District: Parke Wentling

Harkins, Merski, Sonney and Wentling all ran unopposed.

Votes are still being counted in the race for President. As of Thursday morning, President Trump leads former Vice President Joe Biden in Erie County by about 6,000 votes, continuing the trend of making Erie County red after he flipped it back in 2016.
