Governor Tom Wolf (D-PA) came to Erie Wednesday, touring a vaccination clinic at the Bayfront Convention Center, operated by the Erie County Department of Health and the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging. Wolf discussed the state’s vaccination effort and reminded residents the vaccine is available, free and safe.

The Governor told Talk Erie’s Joel Natalie, that pockets of vaccine hesitancy do exist. “We’re looking at hesitancy in specific ethnic groups, there are age groups. Younger folks seem to be a little more casual about it than older folks. And everybody has their own reasons.” Wolf said.

Wolf announced that the number of vaccine providers have greatly increased, to make it easier for residents to get their shot.
