Development continues on a plan to improve safe access to Presque Isle State Park for not only motorists, but pedestrians and cyclists. That’s according to Millcreek Township supervisor John Morgan, who told TalkErie’s Joel Natalie that the multi-modal project was delayed by the pandemic.

“We got a $3 million state grant to build that; that should have been done by now. It’s going to be done next year, and that’s to really enhance the actual esthetic, to enhance the safety to allow folks to walk and bike to Presque Isle,” Morgan said.

The project is part of a three-part strategy to improve the gateway district to the Peninsula, one goal of the Embrace Millcreek strategic plan.
