Anticipated traffic delays on State Street – from 4th Street to 5th Street
Water system improvements related to the Erie Downtown Development Corporation (EDDC) project will result in the closure of State Street from 4th Street to 5th Street. State Street will be closed between 4th Street and 5th Street in both directions from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM each day starting Tuesday, September 21st through Friday, September 24th. Please be aware of traffic delays and avoid the area until further notice.
During this closure, State Street will remain open only to local businesses along the affected area. Some lane restrictions may remain in place at night. Water service to customers in this area may be affected at times during the project. The Erie Water Works appreciates your patience during this time.
