Crowds lined up on French Street before dawn this morning to receive a holiday food bag distributed at the Erie City Mission. Executive Director Steve Westbrook said hundreds will be helped.
“It’s steady. We have about 1,200 turkeys and turkey bags to giveaway. Thank you so much to all the churches that have contributed so generously. It’s a really great day to restore some hope in this season,” Westbrook said.
Each food bag contains enough food to feed a family of five.
