Today, Monday, November 22nd, at 8:00 a.m., Flagship City Food Hall opens to the public.
As part of its $100 million revitalization of downtown Erie, the Erie Downtown Development Corporation (“EDDC”) converted the former Park Place and Sherlock’s buildings into Erie’s first food hall, featuring the following vendors:
- Blue Willow Bakery & Café: Chef Joe Fontecchio will be creating a Continental American bakery with a luncheonette that offers an assortment of pastries, bread, and cakes.
- Dina’s: Husband and wife couple, John and Dina Csir, are bringing authentic meals and recipes from the Dominican Republic, Dina’s homeland, to downtown Erie.
- Shawarma Station: The popular Middle Eastern food truck will now serve its shawarmas, hummus, and Middle Eastern pastries all year-round, from inside Flagship City Food Hall.
- NoodleLove: Erie-native Chris Potter and co-founder Natalie Cammerino are opening the second location of their delicious, healthy, and innovative Asian-American comfort food.
- Taste of Love: Chef Natasha Pacely will be serving generous portions of traditional soul, seafood, and southern recipes.
- Straw Hat Ice Cream: In addition to selling the popular Penn State Berkey Creamery ice cream, the local ice cream shop will also serve new creations, such as the Mighty Fine Donut Ice Cream Sandwich and Extreme Shakes.
- Lucky Louie’s: The hot dog place that made Yelp’s “Top Ten Places in America to Get a Hot Dog,” will offer some of its traditional favorites and introduce new menu concepts, including burgers and French fry platters.
- Taste & See: Founder Krystal Robinson will provide smoothies, salads, infused waters, and other healthy lifestyle concepts.
- Perry’s Tavern: Bianca Bruni and Elliott Smith, a husband-and-wife couple who apprenticed in several award-winning restaurants in the South, will operate a brick oven pizza and serve up some classic Erie dishes, like pepperoni rolls.
The Food Hall, known as the “Community’s Dining Room,” also features a full-service bar and seating for more than 160.
Hours of Operation: The Food Hall will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but otherwise open seven days a week, during the following times:
- Monday to Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Thursday to Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Flagship City Food Hall furthers the EDDC’s goal of “cultivating an Erie Experience in Downtown” and serves as a great compliment to Flagship City Public Market and the Shops at 5th & State, as well as the EDDC’s new residential units.
