County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper will join the Shared Prosperity Partnership to share details about Erie County’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding and how the county is successfully navigating consultations with local stakeholders and building an effective plan for deploying funding, that is particularly strategic, collaborative and innovative.
This event is the third in the Shared Prosperity Partnership Spending for Equity webinar series titled “How Cities and Counties are Organizing to Optimize their ARPA Resources”. In addition to Dahlkemper, the webinar will feature Lourdes German, a Kresge Senior Advisor, and municipal finance expert who will provide an update on the latest ARPA guidelines. Additionally, Brookings Metro nonresident Senior Fellow Brad Whitehead will present insights on how communities are organizing themselves and working with others to maximize the potential of ARPA funds.
The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, December 7, from 2-3 p.m. Attendees will learn what is happing to date in terms of ARPA implementation and the choices facing local governments for approaching their allocations. The Shared Prosperity Partnership is a collaboration of The Kresge Foundation, the Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program, the Urban Institute, and Living Cities. The Partnership convenes local leaders in select communities across the United States to discuss challenges to inclusive growth and provide data, research, and access to national experts, networks and financial resources.
