Millcreek Township Hires Five New Police Officers

Millcreek Township Board of Supervisors gave the Oath of Office to five new police officers at the Board of Supervisors Meeting on Tuesday, July 26, 2022. 

Scott Heidt, Millcreek Police Department’s Chief of Police states that, “Each of these five officers bring a variety of experience to the Millcreek Police Department.”

The newly sworn officers celebrated with their friends and family after the Board of Supervisors Meeting. The officers who took the oath are as follows:

Ely Peyronel, a graduate of Saegertown HS and Edinboro University, was a supervisor of a Fugitive Apprehension Unit with the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office prior to becoming a member of MPD.

Christopher Larsen, a McDowell and Slippery Rock graduate, most recently was a police officer with the City of Erie School District. 

Justin Mysnyk, a graduate of East HS and Fortis Institute, was previously employed as an officer at St. Vincent’s Hospital and with the Cochranton Borough Police Department.

Brandon Miller, A Cathedral Prep and Mercyhurst University Grad, was most recently a member of the City of Pittsburgh Police Department.

Jordan Query, a Traverse City HS and Northwest Michigan College graduate, was most recently employed as a Sheriff with the Grand Traverse Sheriff’s office in Michigan.

Millcreek Township Supervisor Kim Clear notes that, “Millcreek residents rely on the Millcreek Police Department for not just their safety, but also for their support of the community. Millcreek Officers go out of their way to help residents in their time of need. The MPD is the gold standard when it comes to police departments.”
