The annual event is scheduled for October 13, 14, & 15
Asbury Woods presents the annual Scary Creature Feature, scheduled for Thursday, October 13; Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Andrew J. Conner Nature Center at Asbury Woods.
Scary Creature Feature is a family-friendly event complete with activities, storytelling, and a guided walk through the woods where guests encounter and learn about some not-so-scary, nocturnal creatures that live in the forest. The event is ideal for ages 3-8 as they are immersed in make-believe to meet and greet animal characters that are native to our region.
“It’s the perfect chance to explore the woods at night in a festive and family-friendly way. Highlighted creatures on the tour include the barred owl, spider, skunk, salamander, and Luna moth. Plus, this year, we’ll introduce an opossum character. This is a great event to learn about animals found in our area in hopes to inspire a connection to the outdoors with our youngest visitors,” says Jennifer Farrar, Executive Director.

The program fee is $9. Children 2 and under are free.
The guided hike takes place on packed dirt trails and the boardwalk around the Nature Center.
Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Guests must preregister for their specific tour time; each tour time slot can accommodate
20 people. The tour will lead visitors through several stations.
