At the 37th annual Knox Law Municipal Law symposium held at the Ambassador Conference Center Wednesday, dozens of municipal leaders learned about the challenges in the law townships, boroughs, school districts and cities face.
Including the threat of ransomware, which can hold a government’s computer system hostage. Attendees heard from FBI Supervisory Special agent Jonathan Holmes, who handles cyber criminal investigations, and developed the FBI’s strategy to combat ransomware. Holmes encouraged the municipal leaders to be vigilant and employ the available tools to avoid being a victim of cyber crime.
