Reminder that the City will host a public meeting regarding the Downtown Streetscape Master Plan project will be held at City Hall, City Council Chambers, 626 State Street, from 5:30-6:30pm. This meeting will serve to collect public comment on the entire project but specifically on Phase 1.
The first phase of the project will cover areas from South Park Row to Twelfth Street. It is expected to be completed by early 2024. The project proposes:
- New concrete curbs
- Decorative LED lighting with new light poles
- Soil cells, which are used for sediment control and better future tree health
- Expanded green space, which will be strips of grass along the curb
