A county-wide judge race and 10 candidates vying for Erie City Council wasn’t enough to bring voters to the polls on Tuesday. Unofficial totals showed overall turnout to be about 24 percent including mail-in ballots.

In key races, it’ll be Attorneys Pete Sala and Eric Mikovch facing off for Erie County Court of Common Pleas this fall, as Sala won the Democratic nomination and Mikovch winning the Republican nod.

In the Democratic race for Erie City Council, Ed Brzezinski was the only incumbent to win a nomination last night, with Tyler Titus and Kathy Schaaf the other two top vote getters.
