1,098 degrees are being conferred across all LECOM campuses
The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) will hold commencement ceremonies in Erie, Pennsylvania and Bradenton, Florida for their 27th graduating class since the school’s inception in 1992. Ceremonies are being held on May 28th at Erie Insurance Arena for students graduating from their Erie and Seton Hill campuses, and additional ceremonies will take place on June 4th at the Bradenton Area Convention Center for students attending LECOM’s Bradenton campus.
In total, 1,098 degrees are being conferred across all LECOM campuses. The Erie ceremonies will award 342 degrees from the LECOM College of Medicine which includes students who attended either the Erie or Seton Hill campuses. Additionally, LECOM’s Erie ceremonies will confer 134 degrees from the School of Pharmacy, 122 master’s degrees from the School of Health Services Administration and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and 4 doctoral degrees.
During Erie’s afternoon ceremony, LECOM will award an honorary Doctor of Science degree to Pennsylvania State Representative Ryan Bizzarro.
In Bradenton, LECOM will confer an additional 175 medical degrees, along with 103 degrees from the LECOM School of Dental Medicine, 112 pharmacy degrees, 100 master’s degrees, and 6 doctoral degrees.
This year’s LECOM graduates join over 16,000 other LECOM alumni already providing quality health care throughout the United States. LECOM is the largest medical school in the nation, and LECOM’s Erie campus is part of the only osteopathic academic health center in the country.
