Saint Andrew Roman Catholic Church is pleased to announce the return of its annual great Mass and parish picnic this Sunday.
For the second-straight year, the picnic will take place on the church grounds at West Seventh and Raspberry streets in the heart of Erie’s west bayfront neighborhood on Sunday, July 30. The festivities are set to begin with the celebration of Mass at 11 a.m. at the 152-year-old parish.
Picnic events are to continue following Mass outside on the grounds and inside the Monsignor James J. Gannon Auditorium. Sunday’s picnic is set to include a train ride, bounce house and events for kids along with food, desserts and drinks.
Each year, the parish picnic welcomes parishioners along with former students and teachers of the now closed school to celebrate the rich tradition of Saint Andrew Church.
This is the second year the picnic is being held on the church property after the parish enjoyed countless years celebrating at Waldameer’s Rainbow Gardens, with the last being held there in 2019.
Sunday’s picnic will be held rain or shine.
