Democrats scored key victories in state and local races across the country and the Commonwealth last night.
Abortion rights supporter and Democrat Dan McCaffery won an open seat on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Democrat Pete Sala won in the race for Erie County Common Pleas Judge.
On Erie County Council, incumbent Democrat Terry Scutella won re-election. So too did Republican Ellen Schauerman. Incumbent Republican Brian Shank meantime lost to Democrat Chris Drexel in the District Five race, while Democrat Rock Copeland beat Republican Kim Hunter for the District Three seat.
