105.9 TalkErie WZTE Radio officials announced today of the local news/talk station’s live real-time coverage of Erie’s Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8th, 2024.
WZTE Station Manager Joel Natalie said that TalkErie will broadcast a special live six-hour edition of its daily local radio talk show, The Joel Natalie Show, beginning at 12 noon on April 8th and continuing until 6:00 PM, and possible beyond.
TalkErie.com is providing full live coverage before, during, and after the time when our region enters totality. The station’s on-air and online streams will be a leading information conduit for how Erie is being impacted by tens of thousands of visitors, along with promoting all of the ways for listeners to safely enjoy the eclipse experience. Broadcast elements include traffic and transit reports several times each hour, conversations with experts from NASA and local universities regarding the eclipse itself, members of the public safety establishment, along with local leaders producing watch events throughout the region.
