The Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership today announced the departure of CEO James Grunke, effective June 30, 2024. Grunke shared the news with the Chamber Board at its June meeting. “I will always treasure the relationships and experiences I have had here and have nothing but best wishes for the future of Erie,” Grunke stated.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to express our sincere gratitude to James for his leadership and dedication to the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership,” said Christopher Clark, DO, MHA, Chair of the Board. “James has been a key advocate for the Erie business community,” Clark continued. “He has played an important role in promoting business opportunities in the region, advancing workforce development, and fostering a favorable economic environment.”
The Board of Directors has initiated a search for Grunke’s replacement. In the interim, Jake Rouch, the current Vice President for Economic Development, will assume the role of interim CEO, effective July 1, 2024.
“Jake is a highly respected leader with a deep understanding of the Erie business community,” Clark said. “We are confident that he will provide strong leadership during this transition period.”
