The 9th Annual Battle of Lake Erie Tournament Returns This Weekend

The 9th Annual Battle of Lake Erie Tournament, hosted by 814 Elite and USA Softball of Pennsylvania, is set to take place this weekend. This three-day event is one of the region’s largest youth softball tournaments in Erie County showcasing the talents and dedication of young athletes.

Over 80 softball teams from New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania will compete across six divisions: 8U 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U. Games will be played in Harborcreek, Millcreek, Waterford, Penn State Behrend and Mercyhurst.

“We are excited to host the 9th Annual Battle of Lake Erie Tournament,” said Tournament Director, Ray Kraus. “This event not only celebrates the skill and sportsmanship of these young players, but also brings together families for a weekend of fun and community spirit. We look forward to welcoming teams from near and far to Erie for an unforgettable event.”

The 814 Elite is a nonprofit youth travel organization that is dedicated to promoting youth softball in the Erie region. It provides opportunities for players to develop their skills and compete at high levels. USA Softball of Pennsylvania is the state’s governing body for amateur softball, committed to fostering the growth and development of the sport through programs and events.
