Erie County Community College hosts free flu clinic for the community

 Erie County Community College (EC3) invites the community to attend its Free Flu Clinic called “Say Boo to the Flu” on Tuesday, October 29th at the EC3 Erie West Campus from 12 PM – 3 PM. This event, open to all, will offer flu shots, wellness information, and a chance to connect with local health and wellness providers. 

The clinic aims to ensure community members have access to flu vaccinations and other essential wellness services ahead of the upcoming flu season. Attendees will be able to receive free flu shots, along with health and wellness information from a variety of local providers. If you plan to get vaccinations, please plan to bring your insurance card. 

Providers attending the event include: 

LECOM Flu Shot Clinic – Offering free flu vaccinations. 

Presque Isle Mind-Body Wellness Center – Providing information on holistic health services. 

Jennie Askins, Yoga and Meditation Instructor – Demonstrating stress relief through yoga and meditation. 

Grifols Plasma Center – Sharing insights on plasma donation and its impact on healthcare. 

Chosen – Providing support services for those recovering from addiction. 

Community Blood Bank – Offering opportunities to donate blood and support the local healthcare system. 

Erie Oriental Medicine – Sharing information about alternative medical practices. 

Glenbeigh – A treatment center providing information on addiction recovery services. 

“We are thrilled to be able to offer this free event to the community,” said Bailey Shafer, Director of Allied Health Programs at EC3. “With flu season approaching, it’s more important than ever to provide accessible vaccinations and wellness resources. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to stay healthy and informed.”
