From the Erie County Clerk of Elections, Karen Chillcott:

The Erie County Board of Elections is acutely aware that many voters in Erie County have not received their requested mail ballots. The Board has been working diligently with the Voter Registration Department, the Pennsylvania Department of State, and the United States Post Office to determine the origin and scope of this matter.

In the meantime, the Board of Elections, with support from the Department of State, has extended the hours of operation for the Voter Registration and Election Departments. Anyone who has applied for a mail ballot prior to the statutory deadline of 5:00pm on Tuesday, October 29 and has not yet received that ballot, may come to the office to cancel that ballot and receive a new one at the counter until 4:30pm on Monday, November 4, 2024.

In order to better assist the people of Erie County, the Voter Registration office will maintain extended hours as follows:

  • Tuesday                October 29, 2024            8:00am-6:00pm
  • Wednesday           October 30, 2024            8:00am-6:00pm
  • Thursday              October 31, 2024            8:00am-6:00pm
  • Friday                  November 1, 2024          8:00am-6:00pm
  • Saturday               November 2, 2024          8:00am-2:00pm
  • Sunday                 November 3, 2024          8:00am-2:00pm
