The City of Erie continues to plow the city streets around the clock especially where the graders have been through, and salt has gone down to break the bond between the ice and pavement. Crews have been working in the Odd/Even neighborhoods today and will be plowing the NON Odd/Even parking sections tonight. Odd/Even parking restrictions remain in effect throughout the weekend in the hopes that crews can clear the remainder of streets before the rain arrives. For residential guidelines for Odd-Even: if it is an Odd day of the week (for example Dec 7, 9, 11…) and the street is posted “No parking odd days”, then you should park on the other side of the street. If it is an Even day (for example Dec. 8, 10, 12…), and the street is posted “No parking even days”, then you should park on the other side of the street. If you live in a cul-de-sac, please try and park in your driveway. Please do not pass snowplows or graders. This is very dangerous.
Reminder: trash and recycling are back on schedule beginning Sunday night. Please place your trash and recycling curbside but hold your compost and leaves. We will schedule a compost/leaf pick-up week once the wintry weather conditions improve. Take care and stay safe!
