The Erie Zoo will host its Winter Wonderland event to launch its centennial anniversary winter weekend hours on December 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the last admission at 3:15 p.m.

The Winter Wonderland event will include pictures with the Mean Green One, a craft station sponsored by Renewal by Andersen, live entertainment, and shopping at the Animal Art Show and Sale.

“This is the first time in many years that we will be open during the winter months, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this experience with our community,” said Roo Kojancie, CEO of the Erie Zoo. “The animals and staff look forward to seeing everyone.”

As part of the event, the Erie Zoo is partnering with Taradoodles’ ToyBox of Erie. Guests are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0-17 at the admission gates during the event. For each toy donated, visitors will receive a ticket redeemable for a free face painting or glitter tattoo during the event.
