Radius CoWork and the Erie Downtown Development Corporation (EDDC) have teamed up to provide expert business support for members of Erie’s entrepreneurial community with a new Business Support Coordinator, funded through a grant from the Erie Community Foundation.
“This position is jointly created by the EDDC and Radius, with funding from the Erie Community Foundation,” says Drew Whiting, CEO of EDDC. “The role is designed to meet the needs of Erie’s growing number of entrepreneurs and small business owners, with a focus on empowering disadvantaged communities.”
Jenessa Norton, a financial consultant and business advisor based in Erie, will serve as the Business Support Coordinator. Norton will work alongside the staff of the EDDC and Radius CoWork, benefitting from the resources and support of both teams and organizations.
“Jenessa brings over a decade of experience helping entrepreneurs and small businesses thrive,” says Sean Fedorko, founder and Executive Director of Radius CoWork. “She is known for her practical guidance and results-driven approach as she empowers clients to build financially sound, scalable businesses. We’re delighted to add this much-needed new capacity to Erie’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.”
The Business Support Coordinator roll is funded through the Shaping Tomorrow grant from the Erie Community Foundation. The creation of this resource, and others like it, are part of the EDDC’s initiative to revitalize the downtown area while supporting small business. In partnering with Radius CoWork, the initiative is designed to increase the number of local small businesses, create jobs, facilitate peer mentorships, and ensure the growth and success of those businesses.
